Not only am I super talented interior decorator (haha, just tooting my own horn!) but I also dabble in event planning and decorating! Here are some images from a wedding I did recently. Their colors where tangerine and celedon and the theme was polka dots. The bride wanted a "fun" reception incorporating many colors and LOTS of polka dots! I think we were able to accomplish what she had asked for! Take a look. . . .
Here is a pre-wedding shot of us hanging lanters, lights, fabric, and setting tables hours before the ceremony. Notice the water seaping into the tent from outside. Luckily enough, the rain cleared just in time for the outdoor garden ceremony!

vintageprintable.com
I mentioned vintageprintable in a post last week (about galleries) but I wanted to focus a little more on them. After spending two hours today going through almost every single page on their site, I was so excited to get started on a photo grouping project! You can save and print every single one of their images, free of charge. It's like instant, free, vintage art! I would love to do a grouping of sea shell prints all in thin gold frames and white mats. Or how about a wall lined with framed vintage posters in thick chunky black frames? They have a huge collection of things ranging from advertisements to farm animals to botanicals and more. Check 'em out! Here are a few of my favorites;

Gotta love a deal!
Here are the shoes I picked up from Payless yesterday. I am in love with them! And the best part, they only cost me $6.99! I'm a sucker for bargain anything, clothing and shoes included.
Quote for the day
"Today, instead of focusing on what needs to be finished, changed, repaired or replaced, I'm gonna enjoy what I have, where I have it, while I have it because we all know that it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful." ---taken from the Nesting Place blog post this morning. Very well stated.

Trend or Tradition?
Gallery walls. I love them! Whether they are a combination of different styles and mediums, or consist of groupings of similar images, they can have a dramatic affect on any room of the house. They are great in living rooms, hallways, dining rooms, bedrooms, or even kids rooms. The possibilities are endless! I love the idea of combining fine art with a modern poster, accompanied by black and white photographs, with a few pieces of kids' artwork thrown in! Eclecticism is the name of the game! I am thinking about trying this in my home! Maybe in the dining room?! We shall see. . .
