House Envy

All photos via Rue Magazine & Coco+Kelley
This chic Seattle apartment belongs to none other than Cassandra LaValle of the style blog Coco+Kelley. I love keeping up with her happenings via her blog, on Pinterest as well as Instagram. Cassandra's design sense exudes classicism and glamour and she just seems like one of those girls who has got it together, if you know what I mean. I adore her home where she did an amazing job mixing both high end and low end pieces for a look that is sooooo sophisticated yet cozy and comfortable. Her living and dining areas feature fun pops of color (via accessories and artwork SHE created!) while the bedroom is more calming with a mostly black and white color palette. The brass and gold accents throughout seem to take the apartment to a whole new level, don't you think?  I love how she packs so much style into such a small space!!

Featured Designer: Mona Ross Berman

It's been a while since I've posted about an interior designer whose portfolio catches my eye and intrigues me. (Maybe after blogging for 3 consecutive years you start to run out of  favorite designers!) Anyhow, Mona Ross Berman is a Philadelphia designer who was named one of the top ten designers to watch for in 2012 by Trad Home Magazine this month. Her interiors feature fresh ideas, bold patterns and colors while being sophisticated as well as stylish. Take a peak at a few of my favorites;

Good stuff, right?! To see more of Mona Ross Berman's portfolio or to read more about this talented designer, visit her website here.

Room of the day

How gorgeous is this bedroom designed by Meredith Heron?! I'm in love with the dark navy walls and the turquoise night stand. The combination of those two colors is brilliant! I think the zebra print bench adds a bold graphic punch to the otherwise neutral and tailored space. The overall feel in this room is very traditional, but for some reason I am really drawn to it (does that mean my design style might be growing up a little bit?!) I do still love me some modern, bold and funky rooms, but maybe, just maybe I might be learning to love traditional style a little bit more. . . What do you think of this gorgeous master bedroom? Room of the day

I absolutely adore this bedroom by Los Angeles designer Vanessa DeVargas! In my book, you can never go wrong with a white upholstered headboard (with nailhead trim) and crisp white bedding! I love the custom two-tone drapes with gray trellis fabric and pink trim that coordinates with the gray chevron pillows with pink piping on the bed. It's just proof that it's all in the details! I also really love the look of the layered flokati rug ontop of the jute rug. The bookshelves with wallpapered back shelves is also a nice detail. The whole room is just super cute, don't you think?!

I have a quick little announcement to make. . . I'm leaving tomorrow to go on vacation to Southern California with my husband, step kids and in-laws. We'll be going to Disneyland and Universal Studios, soaking in the warm sun and getting all sorts of great family time in. I can't wait!! I'll be back next Monday to my regularly scheduled posting, so stay tuned! See you in a week :)

Featured Designer: Tobi Fairley

I've been a fan of Tobi Fairley since Traditional Home Magazine named her one of the top 20 young designers in 2009. Her interiors combine just the right amount of bright colors and geometric patterns while still maintaining a traditional feel. Tobi Fairley has been featured in numerous design publications in the last couple of years, her business is booming and she even writes an awesome blog that is worth checking out. Oh, and did I mention she puts on 'design camps' a couple of times a year? How fun would that be to attend?! This Arkansas interior designer is surely on a roll! Take a peak at a few of my favorite rooms designed by Tobi;
