Wedding Wednesday!

I attended a wedding on Saturday that was held at a private residence in Sacramento on 41st Street. I love, love, love this neighborhood of Sacramento; it's filled to the brim with gorgeous homes, tree lined streets and overall charm.

The ceremony took place in the couple's front yard, with the bride and groom positioned on the steps up to the gorgeous porch. The walkway to the porch served as the 'isle' for the bride to walk down and chairs were set up for guests on the lawn.

The ceremony was beautiful and made me cry (of course, I always cry at weddings!) Once the nuptials were said, guest were asked to make their way to the backyard where tables were set up, and allow for helpers to move in additional tables to the front. The event was catered by an amazing, local Mexican restaurant, complete with ceviche that was to die for!

Instead of a traditional guest book, the bride and groom had a friend create this tree painting. Guests were asked to place a thumb print on the tree to create 'leaves' and then sign their name above their print. Stamp pads in various shades of green and yellow were provided. I thought this was a very creative touch and the end results looked amazing!

The driveway to the back garage served as the dance floor for the remainder of the evening as everyone drank sangria and wine, socialized and danced the night away!

Congratulations to Scott and Susan and thanks for hosting such a wonderful party!
